My areas of research are Brazilian literature, mostly poetry, and popular music, mostly of the period 1960s-1980s.

In 1988 they translated the better part of my dissertation for publication in Portuguese.
Twenty years later, we cleaned up and corrected the version for an "historical edition." (Paper and e-book formats).
In 1994, I was the newcomer on the editorial team for this widely used reader in Brazilian "urban chronicles."
In 2014, I was happy to welcome Dário Borim Jr. and Célia Bianconi as new co-editors. The volume is better than ever.
